Inverse functions of exponentiation are called Logarithmic functions.

$f(x) = log_ax$

$a$ → base of logarithm

$x$ → Number / Input

Read as : log ‘x‘ with base ‘a’

$f(x) = log_ax$

where : x>0 , a>0 , a≠1

If $log_ax = y$

then $a^y = x$

$log_ax = y$

Input, x should be positive

Base, a should be positive except 1 { i.e. a > 1 }
